ill titleWelcome to Sandra Cook Artistry!

Imagination My name is Sandra Cook. I am a photographer, graphic designer and illustrator. I have been an artist in one form or another my entire life. Before moving to Florida in l989, my husband, Jim, and I farmed in Ohio. Jim is now a Lake County Sheriff’s deputy.

When our two children were young, I worked as a teacher’s aide at Spring Creek Elementary in Paisley, Florida. While there, I also illustrated seven books. Many were children’s books. After working at Spring Creek for six years, I decided to concentrate full-time on my artistic career. At the age of 50 I earned a degree in Graphic Design. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Lake Sumter Community College in 2004. This accomplishment was eclipsed, when during that time, I became a grandmother. The wonder of that new life propelled me upon my current path of capturing the beauty and charm of babies and children in photography.

Stork & Baby While the common theme in my life has been working around and for children, I believe that becoming a grandmother has made me realize more than ever how fleeting infancy and childhood is, and capturing it in and all it’s magic is my passion. Many of my photographs are digitally enhanced, which makes some of my work look more like art than photography.

I work on a Mac, specializing in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. For more information about my work and pricing, I can be reached at artieegirl [at] yahoo.com.
